Back in March I spent half an afternoon in the Japanese Antiques Store on Prinsengracht. I wandered, looked and then my eyes half exploded with joy. Details, details, details; I simply love those details!

There I was, walking along the Amstel when I thought: “Hey, let me look at this… and from this side… and maybe I’ll hang around and watch the colours change… or step a little closer and see how it’s put together…”

So there I am, strolling merrily along from A to B, when something in a window on the right catches my eye. Brain immediately asks: “What’s that?” and before I can come up with an answer my feet are walking into the Stoelenwinkel. If you ever feel the need to gaze at vintage furniture in various states of repair, then this is the place to visit.
